Alison Frost is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Texas A&M University/Corpus Christi. She has worked professionally with the Alley Theatre, the Asolo Repertory Theatre, The Actor Factory, as well as with London's RADA, Royal National and Royal Shakespeare theatre companies.
Having directed over 100 productions, she recently completed productions of URINETOWN, TWELFTH NIGHT, HAMLET, the award-winning NOCTURNAL ADMISSIONS, and THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE. When she's not racing through life at mach speed, her interests include traveling, videography, and flying kites on the beach with her dog, Lizzie.
If you ask her what her dream plays to direct are, they would include Martin Crimp's THE COUNTRY, Cherrie Moraga's THE HUNGRY WOMAN, Jason Robert Brown's PARADE, Kander and Ebb's CABARET, and all of Shakespeare's HENRY plays. (If you ask her tomorrow, the list may look completely different--especially after seeing The Alliance Theatre's landmark production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR-Gospel.)
